You Can Help Me Enhance Lives With Every Step!
I'm reaching out today to ask you to consider supporting an event that is very important to me - the Parkinson's of the Rockies (PAR) Vitality Walk annual fundraiser, which is being held this year on June 3rd at Washington Park in Denver. In participating, I am letting others know that Parkinson's disease affects an estimated 17,000 individuals in Colorado alone. I am sharing with others that 170 individuals in the US are diagnosed daily. I am telling others that Parkinson's is one of the most common neurological diseases; second only to Alzheimer's. My participation in this event will bring more awareness of this neurological disorder to the community.
While there is no cure for Parkinson's there is a critically important organization in our community that I want others to know about. The Parkinson Association of the Rockies is committed to providing tangible and innovative programs and services which are a lifeline for those with Parkinson’s as well as their care partners in Colorado.
I am walking the Vitality Walk to make a difference. Will you make a difference too?
Please consider making a contribution today. No amount is too small, and whatever you give will be greatly appreciated. 100% of all contributions made will benefit the Parkinson Associations' programs and services that Coloradoans with this disease count on to live enriched lives.
As some of you are aware, I was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease a little over 4 years ago. Since then, PAR has been invaluable to me and our family by providing local resources and community support to help us navigate this new world.
A good support network is essential for people with Parkinson's, and I am so fortunate to have one of the best. My wife, Andie, is not only my best friend, the love of my life, and my constant companion. She is also my care partner and helps others as the coordinator of our support group. I am so thankful to have her support and that of other family members and friends.
Andie, Kendall, and I will be walking with our support group on June 3rd to increase awareness of the disease and raise money for our fantastic local organization. If you're available, please consider joining us. Let me know, and I'll get additional details to you. Otherwise, I would very much appreciate it if you'd consider sponsoring me in this year's event. No amount is too small. All donations will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks so much.
